⌬ FOUNDING CLIENTS · LIMITED

First five commissions: 15% off, in exchange for a review.

I'm taking my first paying commissions now. To say thanks for trusting a new builder, the first five clients get 15% off the build fee — all I ask in return is an honest written review once you've lived with your machine for a month, and permission to photograph the build for the portfolio. Same warranty, same care, same standards.

A great PC isn't the one with the highest benchmark. It's the one that disappears underneath your work — silent, stable, and exactly the shape of what you do.

A machine you'd have killed to own as a kid.

I grew up dreaming of a PC that could handle anything I threw at it — and not having the first clue how to build one or where to even start asking. The components were a foreign language. The forums were intimidating. Picking parts felt like a test I was going to fail in front of strangers.

Eventually I learned. Six years on, I've built dozens of machines — my own projects, rigs for friends, towers for family — and I'm now studying mechatronics engineering, which means I get to obsess over the why behind every component, not just the spec sheet.

I'm starting CRUCIBLE because the kid I was is still out there. People who want a serious machine but don't have the time, the technical fluency, or honestly the nerve to drop two grand on parts they only half understand. They shouldn't have to.

So that's the whole job, really: take the stress off your plate. You tell me what you want the machine to do for you. I handle the parts research, the build, the testing, the cable routing, the Windows install, the BIOS tuning, and everything that goes wrong six months later. You get the machine you'd have dreamed of having — without having to become an expert in it first.

05 / FAQ

Things people ask.

If something isn't covered here, just include it in your commission brief and I'll answer in my reply.

Do I pay everything upfront? +
No. Nothing is paid until you've seen and approved the full parts list and quote. Once approved, the standard split is 50% deposit to order parts, 50% on completion before delivery. For smaller builds, payment in full on completion is fine.
What happens if a component is dead-on-arrival or fails later? +
Every part comes with its manufacturer warranty (typically 2–10 years depending on the component). On top of that, I cover the build itself for 2 years — meaning if something fails, I handle the RMA process with the manufacturer and rebuild the machine for you at no labour cost. You don't need to ship parts back yourself or argue with support lines.
Can I supply my own parts? +
Yes, partially or in full. Common cases: you already own a GPU you want to keep, or you want a specific case I haven't built in before. The build fee adjusts accordingly. Note that warranty on client-supplied parts stays with the original retailer — I can't cover those under my build warranty.
Can I upgrade the machine later? +
Always. Every spec is built with sensible upgrade paths in mind — the PSU has headroom for a bigger GPU, the motherboard has free RAM slots, the case has space for more storage. When you're ready to upgrade, send a message and I'll either guide you through it or do the swap for a small labour fee.
How long does a build actually take? +
From signed quote to delivered machine: usually 3–6 weeks. The variable is parts availability — popular GPUs and certain cases can take 1–3 weeks to source. Assembly itself takes 1–2 days, then 24 hours of stress and stability testing before anything leaves.
Do you ship outside the UK? +
Right now, UK only. Shipping a fully-built tower internationally is a logistics risk I'm not willing to take on at this stage — too many things can go wrong in transit. Local Bristol-area builds are hand-delivered. Everything else within the UK ships via fully-insured specialist courier with double-boxed packaging.
What if I don't know what I need? +
Perfect — that's what the brief call is for. Tell me what you actually do (games you play, software you use, monitor you have, any pain points with your current setup) and I'll work out the right shape. No spec-sheet jargon required from your side.
